## Området
Skolen ligger centralt placeret midt i byen Nyborgs centrumområde, nær både rådhusplads og kirkegården. Den har et stort udendørs areal til aktive lege- og idrætsaktiviteter. Derudover er skolen også beliggende lige udenfor de gamle mure af Kronborg Slot, hvilket giver mulighed for undervisning inden for historie og arkitektur direkte fra slottets facade.

### Bygningen
Bygningen består af to fløje; én nyere del (fra ca. år 2000) og én ældre del (bygget mellem årene 1930'erne og 1950'erne). De to fløjers placering sikrer god naturlig dagslysindtrængning i alle klasseværelser. I den yderste ende af den nordlige sidefløj befinder sig biblioteket, mens gymnasiet ligger mod vest. Det store trappeparti fungerer desuden som rummelig korridor. På grundplanset ses tre parallelle linjer, der repræsenterer klassetrinene A, B og C. Klasselokalerne er arrangeret sådan, at elevernes gangveje ikke overlappes. Dette design understreger behovet for rolighed og koncentration i undervisningsmiljøet.
### Udstyr
I skolen anvender man moderne teknologier til undervisning, herunder interaktive smartboards og computere. Desuden er der faciliteter til musikundervisning, herunder instrumenter og auditorium. Gymnastiksalen indeholder diverse sportsredskaber og apparater til motions- og legemstræneredskaber. Biblioteket er velbevaret og indeholder en stor samling litteratur og andre ressourcer.
